Injured former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has been flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.

The former Wolfsburg forward tore his hamstring while playing for his Chinese Super league side Shanghai Shenhua in the Asia champions league against Japanese side Kashima Antlers.

The player fell to the ground in the early part of the game holding his leg and was subbed off immediately.
