Reigning NPFL Champions, Rangers International hosts Wikki Tourist of Bauchi today at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium in an NPFL rescheduled matchday 13 fixture. The postponement of the tie was due to Rangers’ participation in the CAF competitions.

Rangers have not had the best of season culminating in a CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup elimination in the preliminary rounds though they did put what may seem to be a ‘season revival’ performance in the 3-1 thrashing Kano Pillars last Sunday evening in one of their outstanding fixture.

The Flying Antelopes will hope to record back-to-back league for the first time this season thereby closing the gap on the team’s above them on the table.

Meanwhile, Wikki Tourists who recently parted ways with Technical Adviser, Mohammed Babaganaru go into this match with a new man overseeing things. The club recently announced ex-Katsina boss Bala Nikyu as their new Technical Adviser.

Wikki Tourist’s last 3 away matches have ended in a defeat, recently against Abia warriors losing 0-2 at Umuahia. Wikki are 16th on the log with 21 points and need to start getting points away from home.

This fixture at the Nnamdi Azikwe stadium last season ended in a 1-0 win for Rangers, and you can be sure of expecting a cracker with two sides desperately in need of points to steer clear of the relegation zone.
