Mikel back in action after months out injured

Mikel moved from Chelsea to Tianjin Teda for free but earns a whooping
Injured Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi made a return from injury in Tiajin Teda’s 0-2 loss to Hebei CCFC.

Mikel who has been out of action for nearly four months due to hip injury, started the game from his preferred midfield role, but was unable to stop Argentine attacker Ezekiel Lavezzi from netting a brace.

The midfielder’s return is a big boost to both club and country as Tiajin Teda has struggled in his absence.

Tianjin Teda are in the relegation zone after 21 matches in the Chinese Super League. They currently live in 17th position with 15 points.
Gernot Rohr is expected to name Mikel in the team that will take on the indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the upcoming 2018 World cup qualifier in September.
