Ahead of kick-off of the new Chinese Super League season on Friday, Super Eagles of Nigeria captain and midfielder John Mikel Obi says he can’t wait for the action to resume.
The former Chelsea player played an important role in Tiajin Teda’s successful fight to avoid relegation last season and is an integral member of the Chinese club.
Mikel who was ruled out of action for the most papar of last season owing to a hernia surgery joined the Chinese club during the 2017 winter transfer after he enjoyed laurel laden years at Chelsea.
The Tianjin based side will on Saturday lock horns with Hebbei China Fortune in a game that is expected to be a tight call.
Mikel on Thursday took to his instagram page @mikel_john_obi to express his readiness for the upcoming duel.

Mikel is expected to lead Nigeria’s Super Eagles when they confront Serbia and Poland in an international friendly lined up for the team.
