Following the 0-2 loss to Serbia, Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has thrown his weight behind the team.

The Nigeria men’s team suffered a surprise defeat to serbia on Tuesday in Barnet after a remarkable 1-0 victory over Poland last Friday.

Newcastle forward Aleksandar Mitrovic netted the brace in the second half to beat the Gernort Rohr tutored Eagles.

John Mikel Obi missed the Super Eagles two friendly games due to unresolved documentation issues in China.

The player on Wednesday hailed the team’s performance on his twitter handle eyeing a return to the team for the rest of the pre-World Cup games.

“You don’t lose, you learn 💪🏾 Looking forward to being back on the pitch for our remaining preparation games 🇳🇬#SoarSuperEagles” he wrote.

The Super Eagles next friendly game will come up on May 28 against DR Congo in Nigeria before they face England’s Three Lions at Wembley stadium on June 2, 2018.
