Following the retirement of the England and Chelsea legend John Terry from the game of football, Nigeria Super Eagles captain and midfielder John Mikel Obi has joined the growing lists of well-wishers who has being paying tributes to the defender.
Terry who plyed his trade with championship side Aston Villa last season announced his retirement from the game on Sunday via his social media handle.
Mikel who is presently on the payroll of Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda played with Terry in the Chelsea colour for almost a decade and has a lot good memories together.
“Oi Georgie mate, what a career you have had! It has been honour to work, win and share good old banter with you.
You are a trying captain and a great leader, I’m grateful to have been able to learn from you. Enjoy your retirement old boy and goodluck in all your future endeavors” he concluded
Terry played 717 games for the Blues and won 15 major trophy with the club.
