Mikel set for Eagles return


After few months of absence, Nigeria’s Super Eagles skipper John Mikel Obi is set to make a return to the team.

Mikel who terminated his contract with Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda last week, last played for Nigeria in Russia 2018 World Cup last match against Argentina.

The Former Chelsea midfielder indicated his interest to comeback via his social media handle where wore Super Eagles Jersey and wrote ” Can’t wait”.

Mikel didn’t play a part in the Super Eagles 2019 AFCON qualification matches, where the team picked the ticket with a game to spare.

Mikel’s return to the national team will gladden the heart of technical adviser Gernot Rohr, who has been yearning for the return of the midfielder alongside Victor Moses who is yet to give his consent on his return.
