Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi is saddened he won’t be part of Nigeria’s international friendly game against Serbia on Tuesday in London.
The former Chelsea FC midfielder missed the game against Poland last Friday in Wroclaw due to paperwork in China.
Mikel on Monday via his official Twitter handle expressed frustration over his work permit in China which denies the opportunity to also feature for the Pre-World Cup friendly against Serbia.
“Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control I will not be on the field for our game versus Serbia tomorrow (Tuesday),” Mikel confirmed.
The Super Eagles captain however wished the team well ahead of the game at the Hive Stadium, Canons Park London.
“I am sad and frustrated, but giving my full support to the team for another win.”
