Nigerian international winger Victor Moses and his compatriot Ola Aina are
set to be crowned the champions of the English premier League today Friday
when they face West Brom.
Moses has been pivotal for Chelsea all through the season as they put
together an incredible run to hold off all other challenges to remain at the top of the table for months.
Chelsea left back Ola Aina on the other hand has been sparingly used by
the blues. The Super Eagles invitee is already processing his passport and
clearance from FIFA to switch allegiance fully to Nigeria.
Chelsea at some point during the season opened up a 10 points lead but two
losses against Crystal palace and Manchester United cut the gap between
them and closest rival Tottenham to 4 points.
Spurs eventually lost ground by dropping points as Chelsea recovered to
increase the gap to 7points.
The blues will secure the title in coach Antonio Conte’s first season with
two games to spare if they beat West Brom today.
While Moses is guaranteed to start in his usual wing back role, Ola Aina will be lucky to make the bench of star studded blues.
Both players will join the camp of the Super Eagles later than the rest as
they aim for the double after the conclusion of the EPL.
Chelsea faceoff against London rivals Arsenal for the FA cup crown with
another Nigerian Alex Iwobi in their ranks.
