Victor Moses made an impressive return from injury with a spectacular display that only fell short of a goal as Chelsea won 3-1 away at Bournemouth.
Needing to respond to Tottenham’s win earlier in the day over Watford which saw Chelsea’s lead at the top of the table reduced to 4points, Conte must be delighted to have Moses back to his scintillating best.
Moses drive from the wing back role was a constant menace for the Bournemouth defense. And it was one of such runs that carved the opener for Diego Costa.
He was yellow carded in the 25th minute for a deliberate handball trying to stop a goal bound move.
Moses also missed with a close range header after some neat exchange of passes with Eden Hazard.
The Nigerian star was unlucky not to bag a goal for his all action display in the second half when he made a clean run into the opponent box, beat the onrushing defender but a spectacular reflex save from the keeper thwarted a good strike destined for the net.
He was then subbed off with a minute left to play.
Meanwhile, at the Etihad stadium Kelechi Iheanacho came on for David Silva in the 75th minute to help Man city see off Hull city 3-1.
Newly capped Nigerian, Isaac Success made his first start for Watford who were demolished 4-0 at title chasing Tottenham.
Italian born Nigerian striker, Stephan Okaka also started upfront with Success but was subbed off in the 84th minute while Success lasted the entire 90 minutes.
