Not less than three Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL clubs are jostling for Nasarawa United reliable defender, Jide Williams’ signature.
The former COD United lanky defender put up a commendable and appreciable performance for the solid miners in the just concluded season as the Lafia based side finished 5th on the log.
His performance has now made some top clubs in the country make contacts ahead of next season.
“I actually don’t know where I would be playing next season. The season just ended and I’m relaxing at home with my family. I must say not less than three clubs have contacted me, but honestly I’m looking beyond that.
If God says I would still be in the NPFL, then I would rather keep it to myself where I would be heading” he revealed to naijafootballplus.com
“I’ve had offers abroad as we speak but I would rather depend on God to direct me.
He’s been my benefactor and guidance all this while and I trust him he won’t forsake me. I want to keep myself fit for next season and we would see where Oluwajide Williams will be plying his trade any time soon.
“I also think that with Nasarawa United missing out on a continental showpiece for yet another season, they would try as much as possible to return to continental action next season.
So the management want to ensure they keep their squad and beef it up with star studed players inorder for us to challenge for all the available silverware next season”, he concluded.
