Abia Warriors striker, Ndifreke Effiong says he’s happy and grateful to get on the score sheet again after some time without any of his team-mates scoring.

Prior to their 3-1 victory over Yobe Desert Stars, Abia Warriors last scored at home on matchday 3 against Plateau United. Their 3 goals equaled the total number of goals they have scored in previous games this season.

He also said that the goals came at the right time.

“I am very happy to score today. The goals came when we needed it most,” said a delighted Ndifreke.

He went further to say the goal was really important for both him, Abia Warriors and the happy Umuahia fans.

“These goals were very important for me and for us(Abia Warriors). We asked for one goal and we got three. We were happy with that and the fans were too.”

The Abia Warriors target man went ahead to reveal his season’s tally target of 20 goals and his practice to score from almost any possible angle.

“My target for the season is 20 goals. I try scoring from different angles in training and that goal was a result of it,” Ndifreke told naijafootballplus.com
