NFF secure oil sponsorship

The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has signed a five year sponsorship deal with Energy Company Aiteo Group.

No official statement was made on the financial worth of the deal but the deal signed at the Eko Hotels in Victoria Island on Wednesday is reported to be worth N2.5b at N500m per year.

The Amaju Pinnick led NFF has experienced plenty of financial turmoil since it came on board and had constantly announced to Nigerians its steadfastness in the quest for partners and sponsors.

The cash injection will expectedly help the cash strapped football body cater for its coaches at all levels thereby solving a problem which has troubled the NFF for a while now.

The Aiteo Group via its twitter handle @aiteogrp expressed its happiness at the deal and also expressed hope of great days ahead in Nigerian football.

The Aiteo Group previously Sigmund Communnecci Limited has significant business interests in oil and gas exploration and production; bulk petroleum storage; refining of petroleum products; trading, marketing and supply as well as power generation and distribution.

Aiteo maintains headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria and has offices in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Warri, London and Geneva.
