Niger Tornadoes have lost 2 out of their last 5 matches

Players and officials of Niger Tonadoes Football Club have been rewarded with ₦10 Million and a team bus by the governor of Niger state Abubakar Sanni Bello for finishing second in the 2017 AITEO cup.

Governor Bello who was in attendance when this team lost the cup on penalties to Akwa United at the Agege Stadium, received the entire team at the Niger state government House, Minna.

Speaking to newsmen during the fan fare, Niger Tornadoes captain, Mustapha Aliko praised the governor and promised that the team will give their all next season.

“He promised to reward us if we won the Cup, but we didn’t and he still did.

“The team will do its best to justify the government’s investment next season.”

He, however, appealled to the club management to keep the current crop of players for next season as he believes the team can surpass last season’s feat in Nigeria Professional Football League.

The ‘Ikon Allah’ side finished 11th in the NPFL last season.
