Nigeria drop two spots in latest FIFA rankings


Following the inactivity of the senior Nigeria National team, the Super Eagles have dropped two places in January ranking of FIFA.

The Nigeria’s Super Eagles last played in November 2018 in an international friendly and that affected the team’s new ranking.

The ranking released on Thursday dropped Nigeria to the 46th position from the initial 44th position it occupied in January for December Ranking.

Senegal is the best placed African team and  placed 24th in the World, while Tunisia who is African second placed team occupies 28th position in the World.

Nigeria senior men’s team will return to action in March 2019 when they face Seychelles in the last round of matches of the African Cup of Nations qualifier.
