The Nigeria Football Federation are working round the clock to make sure they have soft landing whenever they arrived the shore of the country but FECAFOOT under FIFA normalisation committee has refused to work in tandem with the Nigeria football governing body concerning their arrival.

According to NFF spokesperson Ademola Olajire: “Up till now we haven’t heard from the Cameroonians about their travel plans. When and how they get to Uyo we have no idea.”

Meanwhile, 12 players out of the invited 23 players resumed training yesterday in Yaoundé. The coach is expecting a full house today.

One player that will not feature is Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper Andre Onana, he has chosen to excuse himself from the game.

Coach of the Indomitable Lions Hugo Broos revealed to camfoot.com the reason why Onana was left out of the 23-man squad: “I had an interview with André; he said that he no longer wants to be selected with the national team.

“He wants to concentrate on his club,’’ Broos said.

‘’Honestly, I have a little doubt. I think the
reason is elsewhere. I am really surprised at
his decision”.

The match is slated for Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo on Friday and the return leg to be played four days later.
