Nigeria move up 3 places in latest FIFA ranking


Nigeria Super Eagles has started enjoying new lease of life after securing Russia 2018 world cup ticket in style.

The FIFA monthly ranking released on Monday shows the Super Eagles of Nigeria has moved up 3 places.

Nigeria climbed up from 44th position where they were placed in September to 41st position in the world but remained 5th in Africa.

The ranking also shows that out of the top 5 countries from Africa, only DR Congo failed to secure a world cup qualification.

Meanwhile, Nigeria opponent in the last group game of World Cup qualifier, the Desert Foxes of Algeria continued their slide down as they drop out of Africa’s top 10, and are now 67th in the world.

The next ranking will be revealed on November 23, 2017.
