Welcome again to another report summary of the performance of Nigerian players across various soccer centers around the globe.
England – Premier League
We start off with another impressive and solid outing by Super Eagles ace Victor Moses who helped Chelsea to a slim 1-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Moses put in a full shift on a rainy day and was generally sharp throughout the encounter.
Kelechi Iheanacho failed again to take his chance for Leicester City in a rare league start. The Super Eagles forward was hauled off in the 46th minute as ten-man Leicester were demolished 5-0 by Crystal Palace.
His Super Eagles teammate Wilfred Ndidi was also replaced by Aleksandar Dragovic in the 51st minute a sight quite uncommon where Ndidi is concerned.
English born forward of Nigerian heritage Jordan Ibe came on as a 64th minute substitute to replace Lys Mousset, but he could not help AFC Bournemouth salvage a point as they lost 1-2 to Southampton.
In the English Championship, on loan Chelsea right back Ola Aina was on for the entire duration of – Championship Hull City’s 0-2 loss at home to Cardiff City.
China – Super League
Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi tried but failed to help Tianjin Teda over turn a 0-1 loss to Beijing Renhe, a 67th minute yellow card summing up his efforts.
Spain – Primera Division
In the La Liga, Nigerian duo of Oghenekaro Etebo and Imoh Ezekiel were both included in the Las Palmas starting lineup but could only help the already relegated Yellows to a 1-1 draw away to Espanyol.
Etebo who saw 90 minutes of action performed well enough and also got a 35th minute yellow card for his combative display in midfield.
Ezekiel was recalled to the bench in the 69th minute with Jairo taking his place.
Germany – Bundesliga
German born central defender with Nigerian heritage Felix Udoaki was on for the whole game for Wolfsburg who lost 1-3 at home to
Hamburger. His Nigerian teammate and striker Victor Osimhen was not named in the match day squad.

Ambrose was deployed as a right back, still showing he is still Mr.Versatile.
Turkey – Super Lig
Super Eagles midfielder and assistant captain Ogenyi Onazi showed his return to fitness with a staring display in the midfield for Trabzonspor who edged Antalyaspor 2-1.
In another game, on loan Chelsea and Super Eagles central defender Kenneth Omeruo had a torrid time for Kasimpasa in a humbling 1-4 loss to Fenerbahce.
His Nigerian teammate Emem Eduok came on in the 78th minute for Bernard Mensah, but it was still not enough.
Belgium – First Division
Young Nigerian striker Yusuf Lawal was on for 90 minutes in the Lokeren side that beat Eupen by 2 goals to zero, with a lively performance that caused some problems for the opposition defense.
Former U20 Flying Eagles striker Abduljaleel Ajagun was a vital component in Kortrijk’s 2-1 win over Lierse FC. Ajagun was on for the entire duration of the game.
