Nigerian Trio Returns To Their Club To Know Their Fate

Super Eagles trio Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, and Kelechi Iheanacho, have all resumed back to their club, Leicester City, for pre-season warm-up in preparation for the 2018/2019 football campaign, Naija Football Plus reports.

They joined other club teammates on Friday, after returning from the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The three upfield players were given extended break by The Foxes after their involvement in the tournament that France won.

They all featured for the Nigerian National Team in the Three group stage games, although Ahmed Musa was the highlight of the show, making the headlines with his sublime brace in Nigeria’s 2-0 win against Iceland in their second Group D match in Volgograd, Russia.

However, the future of the former CSKA Moscow’s fast winger in Leicester City remains blurry after a loan spell with his former club – a deal that saw him scored six goals in 10 league appearances.

The Nigeria’s Number 7 sadly couldn’t make a single league appearance for the English Club men last campaign before that loan switch.

As for Ndidi, he did featured on a regular basis for the former Premier League champions, but his season was brought to an abrupt end after he suffered a harmstring injury in Leicester’s 5-0 loss to Crystal Palace in April.

Iheanacho, who moved from Man City last term, made 21 league appearances and was on the score sheet three times.

The trio are not likely to be involved their club’s first official friendly against Notts County.

All the best to them.
