Nigerian trio star in Amkar win


Russian side Amkar Perm recorded a successive Premier League win when they beat SKA Khabarovsk 2-0 on Saturday.

The trio of Aaron Samuel, Fegor Ogude and Super Eagles left back Brian Idowu were all in action for Amkar Perm.

Victory for Amkar sees them move above the relegation zone.

The game commenced with the home team dominating possession but Amkar broke the deadlock in the 45th minute with a stunning strike from Aleksandr Ryazantsev.

Khabarovsk was reduced to ten men in the 57th minute when Dmitri Kabakov was given a straight red for dangerous play.

Mikail Kostyukov made the game safe for Amkar Perm, ensuring maximum points guaranteed when he scored in the 90th minute ending the game 2-0.

Aaron Samuel who a netted brace last weekend was denied by the home team goalkeeper  Krivoruchko on several occasions.

The draw moved the team to 10th position on the table with 28 points from 25 matches.
