English Championship side Hull City have announced the appointment of Nigel Adkins as their new manager.
The club which currently have three Nigerians on their books in: Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Moses Odubajo sacked Russian coach Leonid Slutsky earlier this week.
Hull City side on Thursday morning announced the appointment of Nigel Adkins on their club website. The former Southampton boss takes over from Leonid Slutsky who was shown the exit door due to indifferent results.
Adkins who led Southampton back to the Premier League in 2012 signed an 18-months contract with the Tigers and he will be assisted by Andy Crosby.
The major task in front of Nigel Adkins is to get the team back to the elite division. His first assignment will be on Saturday when Hull city will host Brentford.
Adkins, 52, will oversee his first training session this morning and will take charge of the side for Saturday’s home game against Brentford.
Hull City is placed in 20th position with 19 points from 20 games
