Musa Ahmad and Sanni Bello both scored first half braces as Kano Pillars Juniors Football Club whitewashed Barreta FC of Gombe in a group H1 Nationwide League One game at the Sanni Abacha stadium on Thursday afternoon.

The Sai Masu Gida Juniors made light work of their opponents under the scorching sun of Kano, putting behind their false start to the season with a resounding 6-0 win over the Gombe amateur outfit.
Musa Ahmad opened scoring in the 3rd minute of the game before Umar Shehu doubled the advantage within 12 minutes.

Three minutes later, Mubarak Sanni Bello rose high to meet a cross and nod home the third goal while he wrapped up his brace in the 38th minute with an easy tap home, before Musa Ahmad also secured his brace, making it five for Junior Pillars with a well taken goal on the stroke of halftime.

The second half was more or less routine and the Junior Pillars held on to the driver’s seat comfortably, preventing their opponents from creating anything meaningful.

While they tried out things they could only afford to do in training, a Junior Pillars substitute Dickson Joseph rounded up scoring with the 6th goal in the 73rd minute.

Kano Pillars Juniors will sit temporarily on the number one spot of group H1 with a superior and intimidating goal difference pending the result of the game between Yarmalight FC of Gombe and Misau FC of Bauchi on Friday.
