Kano based amateur league one outfit, Sky Limit put up a highflying performance against Katsina United Juniors to record a 3-1 win in one of the week two Nationwide League One games played at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano on Thursday.

Sky Limit netted twice in the first half to take a two-goal cushion into the break but Katsina Juniors pulled one back midway through the second half before Sky Limit got a late goal to take the game beyond their visitors.

Abib Aliyu broke the deadlock for the hosts before the half hour mark; the lanky striker ran in between two defenders to meet a through ball from Auwalu Al-Hamin and didn’t hesitate to take a one time low shot which rattled the bottom right corner of the net.

Monsur Yahu doubled Sky Limit’s advantage on the stroke of halftime with a composed finished from Zaharadeen Saliyu’s brilliant through ball to end the first 45 minutes at 2-0.

The visitors however pulled one back on the resumption of the second half after Sky Limit failed to clear a corner, allowing Katsina half the deficit. The goal almost sparked a resurgence from the visitors but they couldn’t take their chances to level up the scoreline.

With five minutes left on the clock, Sky Limit put the game beyond contest with a sublime finish from the man who assisted the second goal. Zaharadeen Saliyu recorded his name on the scorers sheet with a one-time lob over the goalkeeper to see off Katsina United Juniors.

The win was Sky Limit’s first of the campaign after losing their first game 4-1 against Shekarau Babes.
