Bayana Bayana coach Desiree Ellis has come out to say that her team won’t have revenge on their mind when they clash against Super Falcons of Nigeria tomorrow ( Sunday) at the Cape Coast stadium.
Bayana Bayana narrowly lost one nil in the 2016 semi final clash against Super Falcons in Cameroon, Ellis believes the word “revenge” is the least on their mind as they look forward to face Nigeria.
” We are not here to revenge against Nigeria but just want to play our normal game”
Ellis admitted that playing defending champions (Nigeria), doesn’t come easy but it’s an important match that will give them ( South Africa) the momentum and opportunity to get to the next round.
“Playing Nigeria won’t come easy, yes they are defending champions and we have respect for them but on the pitch, we will face them squarely”.
Having prepared so well for the competition, Ellis who is making her second appearance as Bayana Bayana coach having led them to fourth place finish in 2016 believes that her team has what it takes to secure ticket to FIFA 2019 world cup.
