Nigeria National League Southern Conference leaders Heartland FC will not be having a tea party when they file out against Osun United at the Osogbo city stadium this weekend in one of the week 26 fixtures says Hakeem Olalere.
Olalere said although the Omoluabi giants have a lot of respect for the Naze millionaires, his side will not entertain any fear as both teams clash this weekend.
He disclosed to naijafootballplus.com that when it comes to earning three maximum points, there’s no room for fear of any opponents.
“We need a win in this game against Heartland and we are getting it if its matter to put over 100% to achieve it. We are an ambitious side and the target we gave ourselves must be met. Therefore, we have trained extra-hard for this game particularly to get the three maximum points at stake.
“It’s obvious that Heartland are coming to this game with the mindset of getting a positive result but we won’t let that happen because we are equal to the task. They have improved with time as they didn’t get their feet on the ground in the first stanza of the league but look at where they are, topping the log and are setting sight on promotion to the NPFL.
“It’s a good thing to respect your opponent because that will give you leverage to approach them. They will feel disappointed after the game on saturday. We are confident that we will carry the day”, said Olalere.
“This is our chance to revenge the defeat we suffered against them in the first leg. Apparently, we will have a fully packed stadium because our fans now have the chance to watch our home games after we have played the last three home games behind closed doors. Their support is quiet inquisitive and we always enjoy the good part of it not when it turns violence. We urged them to always embrace the spirit of sportsmanship because not every game would be won”, the inspirational captain who has been marshalling the midfield for Omoluabi giants concluded.
