The Peoples Elephant who were touted to return to their original stadium in Aba ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season, played all their 19 home games of 2016/2017 season at the same Esuene stadium in Calabar, Cross River state.

The club who finished third on the table last season and will be coached by Paul Aigbogun made the announcement on their Twitter handle on Saturday.

The club twitted: “#Elephants Please be informed that our home games in the 2018 #NPFL season will be played at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar; beginning with Wednesday’s visit of Heartland FC. Calabar has been hospitable to us in every way, and has welcomed us with no reservations.”

Their first home game this season will come up on Wednesday against newly promoted Heartland Football Club in an Oriental derby.

Enyimba will partake in three competitions this season; the CAF Confederation Cup courtesy of their third place finish last season, the Aiteo Cup and the NPFL.
