Newly invited Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme has expressed his profound gratitude to Nigeria’s national team selectors who made his invitation to Super Eagles possible.
The Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel striker was invited to the Super Eagles for the first time ahead of the doubleheader clash with Africa Champions the Indomitable Lions of Africa.
Nwakaeme who has been in wonderful form for the Israeli based club caught the attention of the Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr after he netted a cracking goal in the UEFA Champions League play off against SK Maribor.
The player took to his social media page to show his gratitude saying: “Wanna thank the coaches, journalists and the good people of Nigeria, for making my invitation to the national team possible, many blessing to each and everyone of you. #supereagle #Godisthegreatest #TN9.”
Nwakaeme is expected to continue his rich vein of form by the time the Israeli league and Europa league resumes this weekend.
