Chipolopolo of Zambia gaffer Wedson Nyirenda, has debunked the ongoing rumour that experienced first choice goalkeeper Kennedy Mwenne has been ruled out of tomorrow’s clash against the Super Eagles.
The South Africa based goalkeeper sat out the last training session in Accra, Ghana before departing for Nigeria, which heightened speculations that he has been ruled out due to injury.
He resumed training with the rest of the squad on Friday ahead of the clash.
The gaffer told FAZ, “Mweene trained with us and he is okay and rearing to go”, he stated.
The goalkeeper also said, “We have done our home work and corrected our mistakes we did against Algeria in both legs,” Mweene said.
The trio of goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, defender Stopila Sunzu and Chisamba Lungu are the survivor’s from the 2-1 defeat, 12 months ago at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
