Obasi nets for Stockholm in stalemate


Former Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi on Sunday registered a goal for Swedish first division side AIK Stockholm.

He scored from the penalty spot for AIK Stockholm in the 39th minute before Senegalese international Aliou Badji equalized for Djurgadeen in the 86th minute to end the game 1-1.

Obasi who joined the team from Shenzen FC of China, played for 65 minutes before he was substituted.

He has so far netted 3 goals in four appearances for the club.

Obasi who has had a glittering career as a footballer, was slowed down by various degrees of injuries and looks like he has overcome his injury problems.

He has represented Nigeria at all levels of football from age-grade to the senior national team.
