Ighalo scored 33 goals in 82 appearances for Watford before joining Changchung Yatai

Former Watford FC and Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo returned to scoring ways after several games without a goal.

Ighalo scored in Changchun Yatai’s 2-1 victory over Beijing Guoan in a Chinese Super League match on Saturday.

The former Watford goal poacher gave the home side the lead after 21 minutes before Xiaodong Fan made it 2-0 on 40 minutes. Jonathan Soriano halved the deficit for Beijing Guoan after scoring in the 76th minute to finish the game at 2-1 in favour of the home team.

Ighalo who had gone 7 games without a goal has now netted 3 goals in 13 games for Yatai.

The win catapulted Yatai to 9th position on the log with 16 points.
