OGC Nice have announced the appointment of former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira as their new manager.
The former France midfielder left his role as New York City FC boss and is now Nice’s new manager, replacing Lucien Favre, who left last Month.
Vieira had been previously linked with the Arsenal job following the departure of Arsene Wenger, but now with the French side, after two and a half years with MLS club New York City.
Vieira represented Arsenal in his playing career for seven years, winning three league titles and four FA Cups in that time.
He also turned out for Juventus and Inter in Serie A, as well as Manchester City in England. He was part of the France squad that won the World Cup on home soil in 1998.
