Ogenyi Onazi quits Tranbzonspor

Rumours of owed wages may see Onazi dump Trabzonspor

News reaching naijafootballplus has confirmed that Ogenyi Onazi has terminated his contract with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

According to reports from the BBC sports, this is because the Turkish side failed to oblige to the payment of his salary for the last two months with the club.

According to his agent Stephen Ayodele Makinwa who spoke to BBC Sports saying: “We have an agreement with the club which strictly states that the player has a right to terminate his contract if the club failed to pay him for two months or more.

“We’ve taken a decision based on the violation of this agreement as Onazi is being owed for more than the stipulated period.

Ogenyi Onazi joined Trabzonspor only in August last year. The club is yet to issue an official statement regarding this development.
