The relegation survival hopes of Russian premier league side Amkar Perm suffered a major blow on Friday afternoon as they fell to another home loss.
Aside’s Amkar Perm’s loss, the game will long be remembered for the wrong reasons as former Super Eagles midfielder Fegor Ogude was sent off two minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Amkar lost 0-2 to Arsenal Tula in a fiercely contested encounter courtesy of goals from Artem Dzyuba in the 11th minute and Sergey Tchakev’s strike seven minutes before full time compounded the woes of Amkar who had two Nigerians, Brian Idowu and on loan Aaron Samuel in their starting line up.
Ogude was introduced into the game in the 74th minute for Seiad Erzatollahi but was sent off two minutes later for dangerous foul play.
Aaron Samuel who was not invited for the Super Eagles upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia continues to search for his first competitive goal for the club.
The loss pushes Amkar Perm further down the table to 14 position with 22 points from 22 games.
Arsenal Tula on the other hand, climb up to 6th position with 31 points from 22 matches.
