With just one week to the kick off of the 2018/2019 CAF clubs competitions, the coach of the Nigeria Aiteo Cup Champions, Rangers, Gbenga Ogunbote has appealed to Nigerians to show maximum supports for the clubs.
Rangers returned to the continent this season after they beat Kano Pillars in the final of the Aiteo Cup and secured tickets to campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Lobi Stars in their own part qualified to play in the Champions league after they emerged the league winner following the conclusion of the league after match day 24.
Ogunbote appealed to Nigerians via Rangers’ social media handle.
“I want to appeal to Nigerians to give their maximum support to the clubs flying the country’s flag in the Champions and Confederation Cups Competition.
The support will help propel the players to give their best”, he said.
Rangers will open their continental campaign against Defence of Ethiopia with the first game scheduled for Nnamdi Azikwe stadium in Enugu, Nigeria.
