Osun United FC chairman, Taiwo Ogunjobi has stated that the Omoluabi Giants are still a work in progress and that the team will get better as the season progresses after their 1-0 loss to Crown FC at the Osun stadium, Ogbomosho in the Nigeria National League NNL match day 3 on Sunday.
The former NFF scribe said that with lots of matches still to be played, with time the club will get its bearing and strive to improve on last season’s performance as they failed to get promotion ticket to the top flight.
“We are a little satisfied with the three matches we have played so far, 1-0 lost against Bayelsa United in Yenegoa, and 2-0 victory over Bendel Insurance and a narrow loss to Crown FC. We were not humiliated. We know Crown FC won’t be pushovers and they proved against us that they were not. I have confidence in this team that we will succeed this season.
“We still have lot to work on and we have started work on that”, Ogunjobi told naijafootballplus.com
“We didn’t perform up to our level last season and that is why we missed out on promotion to the NPFL. Thank God we have been able to solve some of the problems that hindered our performance last season and hopefully, the top flight football will be deliver when the season ends.
