Olayinka nets winner for Zulte Wagerem in Europa League playoffs

Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka got the winner in Zulte Waregem’s 2-1 triumph over Royal Mouscron in the Belgian – First Division Playoff for an Europa League spot on Saturday.

Olayinka scored in the 66th minute just under a minute after Hamdi Harbaoui had equalized for Zulte-Waregem who trailed from a
Selim Amallah 26th minute first half strike for Royal Mouscron.

Olayinka has now scored his second goal of the campaign after providing a couple of assists for his teammates this season.

The League in Belgium is now divided into different groups of contenders for several positions and titles after the regular season came to an end and Olayinka and his Zulte Waregem team fall under the Europa League qualification category for mid table finishers.

Zulte Waregem extended their lead at their group table with 16 points from 6 games, taking advantage of the missing Royal Mouscron Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi who is nursing an injury that has seen his team slide to 4th with 9 points from 6 games.

Olayinka 22, will lead the lines again for Zulte Waregem against another Nigerian striker in Abduljaleel Ajagun in their next game which will see them squareoff against Kortrijk, next week Saturday.
