Oliseh delighted by landmark achievement


Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh is still basking in the euphoria of his team’s comeback victory on Monday night.

The 43-year-old coach who joined Fortuna Sittard last season, led the club to a remarkable come-from-behind victory. They rallied from 2-0 down to claim a valuable 3-2 victory over Jong PSV in the Dutch second division.

The win was Oliseh’s 20th as manager of Fortuna Sittard since he was appointed in December, 2016.

He tweeted: “Our exceptional 2-3 victory yesterday vs Jong PSV,coming back from a 2-0 deficit is my Landmark 20th victory as Coach of Fortuna Sittard after 35 games in charge with 8 draws! God is Great!!”.

After 35 matches as coach of the Dutch second division side, Oliseh has won 20, drawn 8 and lost 7.

Monday nights victory saw Fortuna Sittard rise to 2nd place, four points adrift of NEC Nijmegen who currently occupy the automatic promotion position.
