Oliseh stirs Sittard to the top of table after big win

Former Super Eagles captain and one time coach Sunday Oliseh inspired his Netherlands Eerste Divisie side, Fortuna Sittard to a comprehensive 5-1 thumping of AZ II in one of Friday’s match day 6 results.

Four first half goals from Dianessy in the 11 15 minute, was reduced by a goal from AZ II’s Reijnders in the 16th minute. But Lisandro Semedo quickly restored the two goal caution in the same 16 minute as the AZ team rushed the ball back for a restart in hopes of a quick comeback.

Schuurs made it 4:1 in the 41st minute before Lisandro Semedo completed his brace in the 69th minute to complete the 5-1 victory.

The win now sees coach Sunday Oliseh and his team take to the summit of the Dutch second division with 13 points along side Ajax II who have a game in hand and a one goal advantage.

Oliseh who is quietly inking a legendary folklore script at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion, has now registered an outstanding three wins in three games all in the space of seven days.

Last week Friday Fortuna Sittard were 1 – 0 winners over Volendam, before beating Noordwijk 1-0 on Tuesday in the KNB cup ( Netherlands FA Cup) to complete a perfect
record of wins within a seven day period.

The next challenge for coach Sunday Oliseh would be an away match to 12th on the table side Telstar next week Friday.
