After a long wait, Nigeria Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, finally made his debut for his Spanish La Liga side CD Leganes on Saturday in their 1-0 home win over Rayo Vallecano.
Omeruo joined the Spanish side on loan from Chelsea after he spent last season at Turkish Super League side Kasimpasa.
The former Youth International was initially named on the bench for the game but was introduced due to injury sustained by one of the team centre back, Unai Bustiza after striker Guido Carrilo gave them an early lead.
#cdleganes 1 – 0 #rayovallecano glad to make my debut in Win.. Vamos leganes 🙌🏾🙌” he tweeted.
The coming of Omeruo brought more stability to the team and helped nullified all threats from Rayo Vallecano and ensured maximum points.
