Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo’s future at Chelsea remains in doubt as he was dropped from their pre-season tour of Asia squad.
Chelsea’s Asia tour squad that will participate at the international Champions Cup in China was released yesterday.
Super Eagles attacking winger Victor Moses was listed in the traveling party alongside English born player of Nigerian decent Fikayo Tomori who was a member of the England U-20 side that won the world last month.
Defender Omeruo who returned from another loan spell in Turkey was not listed, with the club saying he has visa problems. All indications points to the fact that the blues’ Italian manager Antonio Conte does not see Omeruo in his plans and a sale of the player might be sanctioned soon with clubs already making inquiries.
Chelsea begin their first match against Arsenal on Saturday, July 22 in China . They will then tackle German champions Bayern Munich on July 25, before facing Inter Milan in their final fixture four days later.
The blues have tied Italian manager Antonio Conte to a two-year contract ending speculations of an exit just after a successful season. This might be good news for Victor Moses whom has seen his career rejuvenated under the former Juventus boss
