Euro roundup: Onauchu and Awoniyi score, Onazi, Echiejile make substitute cameos

Denmark where lanky striker Paul Onuachu made a goal scoring return after a two-week injury layoff for Midtjylland FC in their 5-1 demolition of Hobro.

Onuachu scored the fourth goal in the 88th minute after coming on as a sub in the 64th minute.

His Nigerian teammate Rilwan Hassan got an assist in the 61st minute before he was subbed off later on.

Awoniyi opened scores for Royal Mouscron in the 15th minute before Zulte Weregem rallied to secure all three points, however, Nigerian forward Peter Olayinka was not on the score sheet but was booked in the 33rd minute.

Nigerian duo of Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti both started for Gent while Joseph Akpala was on the bench for Oostende FC.

In the Spanish Laliga, on-loan Manchester City Nigerian striker kayode Olanrewaju was subbed in the 80th minute for Girona who lost 0-1 at home to Sevilla.

In Turkey, Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi came in with just 4 minutes left to play as visiting Trabzonspor pulled an impressive 2-2 draw against Istanbul Basaksehir.

Sadiq Umar came in as a second half substitute for Osmanlispor FK in the
46th minute while Nigerain left back Elderson Echiejile was introduced in the 40th minute to help Sivasspor win 4-2 away from home in an entertaining six goals thriller.

In the Netherlands Eredivise, Super Eagles right back Tyrone Ebuehi played all 90 minutes in ADO Den Haag’s 1-1 draw against Dutch giants Ajax.

Still in the Netherlands, former U-17 golden Eaglets midfielder who is on loan from Arsenal to VVV-Venlo, came on as a 46th minute substitute in their 1-1 draw against Vitesse.
