Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu inspired form Midtjlland on Monday night as they rolled three unreplied goals past their host AGF Fc.
Onauchu with an imposing tall stature of 201cm and weighing 84kg, scored the game’s opening goal in the 25th minute of the first half.
Jakob Poulsen who assisted the Onuachu’s goal, scored in the 69th minute from a penalty.
The 23 years old Onauchu then turned creator with a 90th minute assist for Marc Dal Hende before getting subbed off in added time to a rousing ovation from the traveling supporters who appreciated his all round contribution.
His Nigerian teammate Rilwan Hassan was subbed off in the 77th minute.
Paul Onuachu has scored 6 goals this campaign, a figure he could have easily surpassed but for an injury that sidelined him for several weeks.
The win now puts Midtjland on 19 points after 10 matches, second on the Danish Super League just a point behind table toppers Nordsjælland and one point ahead of third placed København.
With the World Cup qualifier clash against Zambia just days away, super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr might as well look in the direction of Paul Onuachu if form is anything to go by, considering the fact that the popular strikers are suffering either from poor form or lack of playing time in their clubs.
Onauchu will add a different ingredient to the Super Eagles attack with his
aerial abilities and strength.
Onauchu scored 18 goals last season and is primed to surpass that tally this term.
