ENGLAND – Premier League
Nigerian player of the year and Chelsea right wing back Victor Moses was a mixture of solid and slackly performer as Chelsea lost 1-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the biggest game of the English premier League fixtures at the weekend.
Moses was replaced by Olivier Giroud in the 78th minute.
There was no relief in sight for Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye and his bottom placed La Liga side Malaga after they suffered a 1-2 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in a game they missed a penalty and ended the match with a man short following a red card.
Former Watford striker Isaac Success returned to the bench for Malaga but played no part in the match. Ideye lasted the whole 90 minutes, but could not find the back of the net like he did last week.
NETHERLANDS – Eredivisie
Willem II started veteran Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche who helped his team secure a hard fought 1-0 win over Roda JC Kerkrade. Ogbeche was subbed off in the 90th minute after an impressive output.
Super Eagles right back Tyronne Ebuehi saw full action for Ado Den Haag in what was a collective team result against favourites Ajax FC at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Ebuehi was pivotal in helping Den Haag grab a huge point in a 0-0 draw against the record Dutch Champions.
DENMARK – Superligaen
Young rising Nigeria wonder kid Frank Onyeka received his first red card in FC Midtjylland’s 2-1 win away at Hobro.
