After a four-month absence due to injury, injured Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru on Tuesday returned to action for Belgium Jupiler league side Anderlecht.

Onyekuru who got injured in November 2017 played for the Anderlecht U21 team against Lokeren.

The speedy attacker has been undergoing recovery training since he returned to Belgium from his parent club Everton.

He returned to first team training last week and was included in the list of players to prosecute the U21 game.

Onyekuru played in the last 15 minutes of the encounter and assisted in the last goal scored by Azevedo to ensure an emphatic 4-1 win over Lokeren.

His return to form will gladden the heart of Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr as he compiles a 35 man provisional list for Russia 2018 World Cup.
