The reports coming from the camp of the Belgium Jupiler League side KV Oostende indicated that the club has offered former Super Eagles striker Joseph Akpala one year contract extension.
Former Insurance of Benin forward joined the Belgian side in 2015 from the Turkish side Kardemir Karabuskorp.
Akpala has been an important player for the club since joining them with superlative performance which has seen the player netted 14 goals in 77 appearances.
Meanwhile, the reports coming from the player camp shows the player is requesting for two years contract.
Apart from playing for Oostende in Belgium, Akpala has played for Club Brugge in 2010/2011 season before he moved to Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.
Akpala was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles that attended 2013 FIFA Confederation Cup in Brazil under the tutelage of late coach Stephen Keshi.
