Osaze scores on home debut

Former Super Eagles star Osaze Odemwinge made a scoring start to life in Indonesia by converting from the penalty spot to hand Madura United a 2-0 win over Bali United Pusam.

Meanwhile in England, Victor Moses and his Chelsea teammates could not cope with a dominant Manchester United display in a comfortable 0-2 loss away at Old Trafford. Moses was substituted in the early minutes of the second half in a match none of table topping Chelsea players inspired.

In Belgium, Joseph Akpala was an unused substitute in Oostende’s 0-1 loss to Anderlecht.

In the Austria Bundesliga, Nigerian striker Olanrewaju Kayode scored for Austria Wien in 3-0 win over Mattersburg away from home.

Kayode now has 18 goals from 41 matches in all competitions, including 11 in the league. This makes the former Flying Eagles star the top scoring Nigerian in Europe.

In the Spanish LaLiga Sunday match, super Eagles defender Uche Agbo played 90 minutes for Granada who lost 0-3 at home to Celta Vigo.

Nigerian internationals Paul Onuachu and Rilwan Hassan both started for Midtjylland in their 2-2 draw against Lyngby in the Danish first division.

Onuachu failed to score even though he lasted 90 minutes, Hassan was however subbed off in the 84th minute.
