When two big clubs in the NPFL face off, there is always a pulchritude lined in it. That is what should happen when Kano Pillars and Enyimba meet at the Sani Abacha stadium this weekend on match day 9.

One beauty the game brings, is the off and on the pitch drama, to raise the tempo of the Nigeria ‘El Classico’.
One player who could feature in Sunday’s classico for Enyimba, Joseph Osadiaye, has spoken with temerity, saying they are bigger than kano pillars and Pillars fans will have their mark felt on Sunday.

In a chat with Naijafootballplus.com, the winger spoke interestingly about the game: “This definitely comes as the biggest game every season in the league, pertaining to the two clubs pedigree and status in recent years, and excitement will be full in the air”

“We[Enyimba FC] are bigger than Kano pillars and we are ready to make the entire Pillars team and their fans feel our mark on Sunday, as we are prepared to show superiority again just like 2 seasons ago at the Sani Abacha stadium.”

The Enyimba winger urged the fans of the club who are based in Kano to come support them:

Osadiaye added: “What we need from our fans is their presence and full support and we promise them that we are going to bring victory to them”

The two teams Pillars and Enyimba respectively are placed 3rd and 5th on the log with 15 and 13 points, and have the derby to fight for Keenly, but goals surely shouldn’t be missing, come Sunday.
