My People FC get banished from the NNL

The management of the Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL) have expelled My
People FC from the league and will remain ostracized for another 5 years for failing to show up for their scheduled league games.

The Lagos based team didn’t honour their Matchday 29, 30, 31, and 32 fixtures with their presence and the club, owned by prophet TB Joshua, have been sent tumbling out of the NNL and never to return until after 5 years.

In addition to the lengthy ban, the club must cough out 5 million naira in fine to the NNL for disreputing the league.

However, all Bet9ja NNL games involving My People FC, played or yet to be played, have been cancelled and all points gained by other clubs from ‘My people’ deducted, according to Lawrence Katken, Chief Operating Officer of Bet9ja NNL.
