Plateau United bundled out of CAF Confederation Cup

Nigerian champions Plateau United FC have been eliminated from the CAF confederation cup, after losing heavily to Algerian side USMA.

Plateau United needed at least a draw to progress, but put up a disjointed performance from the onset.

The first goal came after 29 minutes through Kaddour Bedjlali who headed home from a corner kick.

USMA’s only goal scorer in the first leg Oussamma Darlafou was in song again this time doubling the lead for the home aide on the night in the 41st minute through another header.

There were no changes in the second stanza as the host continued to dominating possession, proving dangerous from set pieces.

USMA added a third goal in the 50th minute off a corner as Oussamma completed a brace.

Moktar Benkhermassa completed the rout later in the game to ensure the game ended 4-0 on the day and 5-2 on aggregate.
