Player Chat with FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s John Huan

ADVERTISEMENT correspondent John Diidi caught up with veteran winger John Huan after his side’s goalless draw against Abia Warriors last weekend in Umuahia and had a chat with the player about where he’s been, which team he thinks is the best in the NPFL and his team’s continental ticket ambition.

Naijafootballplus: Good day Huan, nice display to get a point here, a lot of people didn’t know where you are until you appeared for FC Ifeanyi Ubah after leaving Sharks FC, where have you been?

John Huan: “When I left sharks, I joined Dolphins then left to join Kano Pillars. After Pillars I traveled out, returned to Enyimba for a half Season. Later on I traveled out again. I came back to join Lobi Stars to play then traveled out again and came back again. I wanted to travel to Angola but it didn’t work before I joined FC Ifeanyi Ubah during the mid-season transfer.”

Naijafootballplus: You’ve played for quite a number of Nigeria clubs. Surely you’re the best person to tell us which is the best Nigerian club you’ve played for?

John Haun: “I would say presently now is FC Ifeanyi Ubah, because the setting now is quite good. I love the style of play especially when you play under the person of Coach Preko. He has a lot to offer when it comes to the game of football.”

Naijafootballplus: When you say the setting is good, are you talking about the money. News have it they pay very well, no?

John Huan: “Money is part of the game and they pay us very well. When you have good money, you see that the players will bring out their heart to play.”

Naijafootballplus: So are you at FC Ifeanyi Ubah for the Money?

John Huan: “I am not at FC Ifeanyi Ubah for the money. I am here to add my own quota to the club and see how we can get a continental ticket at the end of the season.”

Naijafootballplus: From what you seen so far, Week 1 – Week 32, do you think your club can get a continental ticket?

John Huan: “Nothing is impossible. It’s possible that we can still get it. We have six matches to go and I believe with the six matches to go, we can get there ticket.”

Naijafootballplus: Thank you for your time.

John Huan: “It’s my pleasure, you’re welcome.”
